Maria Crippen is a Board Certified Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner. She earned her undergraduate degree from Virginia Commonwealth University, cum laude in May 2000. She spent the next eleven years working as a Labor and Delivery nurse. She earned her Master’s degree at Old Dominion University in December of 2010. She completed her graduate clinical training at Complete Women’s Care and joined the CWC team April of 2011. Her interests are support of the normal labor and delivery process, adolescent gynecologic health, contraceptive counseling, and STD management. Maria and her husband Marc live in Chesapeake with their two daughters and spend their free time between soccer games and swim meets.

Obstetrical (Pregnancy) Ultrasound / Sonogram

The ultrasound tech was extremely friendly, helpful, and open to talk through the steps of the ultrasound. As the mother, holding the baby, I feel the kicks and experience it all day. For my husband to see the ultrasound and patiently be able to take in the moments is very special. She answered questions and made us feel very comfortable. The doctor that met with us post-ultrasound was very informative and straightforward, specifically when describing the risks of VBAC. We need/want honesty and facts.. that’s exactly what she gave us. Much appreciated!
