Obaid H Jafri

OBAID H. JAFRI, M.D., is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and is a Peninsula native. Dr. Obaid Jafri has been with the practice since July, 2005. A graduate of Phoebus High School, he received his undergraduate degree from Old Dominion University, and his medical degree from Eastern Virginia Medical School. He also completed his OB/GYN specialty training at Eastern Virginia Medical School. Dr. Jafri is interested in the full spectrum of women’s health, from adolescent medicine to menopause management, with particular interest in minimally-invasive pelvic surgery.

Dr. Obaid Jafri is interested in all aspects of the female reproductive system, with particular interest in the treatment of abnormal uterine bleeding using minimally invasive surgical and non-surgical techniques. He also offers services in obstetrics, urogynecology (the treatment of urinary incontinence), family planning, and prevention and treatment of cervical cancer and HPV infection.

Dr. Obaid Jafri lives in Yorktown with his wife, Shazia, and their two daughters and son. When not delivering babies, or in the operating room, Dr. Jafri enjoys fishing, gardening, and traveling with his family.
