The well-woman examination is recommended at least once a year or every 2 years depending on your age, starting as early as age 13. The most important tests included in the well-woman examination is the breast exam, pelvic exam and PAP test.The most important tests included in the well-woman examination is the breast exam, pelvic exam and PAP test.
Other tests including, but not limited to, blood pressure, urinalysis, complete blood count and STD testing are offered and are important in identifying potential early health problems and in the early detection of certain gynecologic cancers. As you age and your health changes, your well-woman visits may involve more extensive tests.
