Katherine Hines

We are so excited to have Dr. Katherine Neuffer Hines, fellowship trained urogynecologist, join the urogynecology team at Virginia Beach Obstetrics & Gynecology on September 6, 2022! Originally from Columbia, SC, Dr. Hines attended the University of Virginia where she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree. She then returned to South Carolina and earned her Doctor of Medicine at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine, where she graduated magna cum laude and was awarded the Dr. Preston A. Jones Memorial Scholarship for excellence in academics. She was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society in March 2014. She completed her OB/GYN Residency at Wake Forest Baptist Health and served as Chief Resident. She then remained at Wake Forest for her fellowship in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery.

As a fellowship trained urogynecologist, Dr. Hines has received advanced multidisciplinary training in the management of complex pelvic floor disorders including urinary and fecal incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, postpartum perineal wounds, sexual dysfunction, bladder pain syndrome, etc. She has been trained in surgical reconstruction using vaginal, laparoscopic and robotic-assisted techniques. Dr. Hines is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is a Fellow of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.

Dr. Hines and her husband, also a local physician, recently welcomed their second child into the world. Dr. Hines has ties to the Virginia Beach community as her husband and her in-laws are Virginia Beach natives! She looks forward to a long career caring for the urogynecologic needs of Hampton Roads women.
