Dr. Kimberly Stockmaster is originally from Ohio. She attended college at Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio earning a Bachelor of Science in Natural Sciences. She then attended medical school at Wright State University School of Medicine where she graduated first in her class. She completed internship and residency at Case Western Reserve University at MetroHealth Medical Center and the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland where she received the award for resident achievement in minimally invasive surgery. She decided to specialize in OB/GYN because of the diversity within the field. Her favorite part of the job is helping women through different transitions in their lives and, of course, delivering babies.

Dr. Stockmaster lives in Virginia Beach with her son. In her spare time she relishes spending time with her family and friends, enjoying the outdoors and reading.

Routine Pregnancy / Prenatal Appointment

I have been going to the group for women since I was 23 years old (I am currently 31). I called multiple times and left multiple voice messages to schedule a confirmation appointment for my pregnacy. One time, someone did call me back and my phone sent it straight to voicemail so I called back immediately and it went straight to voicemail as the person called conveniently after they closed. I never received a call back after multiple attempts the following days. I asked to see the OBGYN I saw my last pregnancy and it was completely ignored and I saw someone else. I left a voicemail stating the physician I would like to see and by the time I spoke with someone it was never asked what physician I’d prefer and with me just assuming, they’d see who I’ve seen in the past would schedule an appointment with the same physician and/or a note in my chart of the voicemails I left. The receptionist was extremely rude. She was scheduling my ultrasound and gave me two days to choose from. Of course I’m going to choose the first available date to see my baby but the ultrasound was at 1100 and the appointment some ridiculous time after like 1400. So I said that’s not convenient, she proceeded to be sarcastic and say “thats why I gave you two dates to choose from”…I asked her if I could see Dr. Fernandez with my next appointment in which she states “You would of had to of seen her today for that”. I pay out of pocket as I am a traveling RN and we don’t get insurance, I am not paying another $150 for a consultation appointment to see the physician I prefer and already have a prenatal history with. After my appointment was scheduled she didn’t say anything, just had me standing there, not a “okay you’re all set” “have a good day”, etc, so I asked if I was done, where she proceeds with a “Yea” and I say “have a good day” and she responds with a passive aggressive statement of “Have a blessed one”. I understand growing, remodeling, making the company bigger and better but with this, I did not feel welcomed and felt more like a bother when I should of never experienced these feelings after confirming my pregnancy that my partner and I have been actively trying for, for over a year.

I like the fact that I was able to walk in with and was greeted with a smile. She knew who I was and checked me in eventhough computer was booting back up. Wait time was good and I had a great laugh with the admitting nurse. Dr. S was professional and gentle during the exam. Her concerns during consultation was valuable to my next step with my care. Just an over pleasant place to come for all Gynecological needs.
