Dr. Johnson was born and raised in Upstate NY. She earned her undergraduate degree from State University of New York at Albany, her medical degree at St. George’s University, and completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at New Hanover Regional Medical Center- (a satellite of University of North Carolina). Upon completing residency she moved to Virginia Beach and has been practicing OBGYN since 2006, offering a complete range of obstetrical and gynecological services. Areas of interest include low and high risk obstetrics, adolescent gynecology and minimally invasive procedures and surgeries.

Dr. Johnson is married to Dr. Jason Johnson, and they are raising two wonderful children- Ben and Leah. In her free time she enjoys reading, cooking and traveling.

I visited both locations. I had testing done at Glen MITCHELL a d saw DR. jOHNSON at 1st Colonial. They were able to fit me in with a problem I was having and I will follow up in January. I always feel comforable with Dr. Johnson.

Dr Johnson is close to my age and it was important to me that not only is she very good at being a gyn doctor, but that she better understands where I am in life on a gyn timeline. I acknowledge that all drs at CWC are great, it’s just more reassuring to have a doctor who is, for the most part, experiencing most of the same aging symptoms I am. Birth Control Consultation

After my wellness exam as a new patient, I requested for a blood panel to be drawn. I received a phone call weeks later from the front desk informing me that I have PCOS. I asked if I could get more Information on the subject and I was told I could be mailed an informational pamphlet, which I also never received. So I scheduled an appointment to discuss treatment options in person. When i informed my doctor that my current birth control is not alleviating the PCOS symptoms, she told me that the only way to check if my hormones are regulated is by updating my blood panel. When i asked at what intervals do they check hormones by doing blood panels, my doctor informed me they dont and i should stick with the birth control that isn't helping or seek out out a different office.

Dr Johnson was professional and explained everything she was doing before doing it. the staff was friendly when i arrived. The nursing partner was also very friendly and explained what i needed to do. i am highly satisfied with my visit. I usually see Dr Crabb, but was glad to be able to see Dr johnson.
