Amy received her Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from Villanova University in Pennsylvania. She also received her commission as a Naval Officer in the United States Navy during that time and was active duty for 27 years and retired in May 2018. Amy also received
her Master of Nursing from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.

Amy stays active with her husband and four children. She enjoys camping, quilting, gardening and photography.

I was very nervous and scared before my visit due to a recent death in our family from Vulva cancer. I noticed a couple of dark spots and had serious concerns that they could be cancerous. Amy listened to my concerns and immediately prepped the area and did two biopsies, then she sent me to have blood drawn to test me for ovarian cancer. I also had a cyst show up in an MRI of my lower back that she is sending me for an ultrasound on next week. She was very cool and understanding with me. It calmed me down and made me feel a lot better about my situation. I have been to many doctors over the years and there is no comparison to Amy's bed side manner. She is an excellent medical professional that I would highly recommend to anyone needing a gyn or ob. The office staff was also very nice and fast. My whole appt start to finish was less then 45 minutes!

My appointment with Amy Wooten was a good experience, however, I am very dissatisfied with her staff. My appointment was on February 15th and at that time I requested that an order for mammogram and bone density scan be sent to Outer Banks Hospital in Nags Head. To date, that order has not been sent. I have left three messages with your, requesting that the order be sent and a return phone call that the order had been sent. I have received no response and the hospital has not received the order. I emailed your office on Monday, March 18th and your website says I would receive a return email within two days. I have not had a response to my email and have not had a call from the hospital that they have received the order. I would appreciate someone following up on this as soon as possible. I have been a patient of Candace Geary for over ten years and always received exceptional prompt treatment. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

my visit was not a planned one, as I developed a UTI over the weekend. Since my last visit in November, which was about my UTI problems, my regular MD with this group retired and i requested a female specialist to monitor my problem.
